Playing Kickball in DC


It's back! Flag Football in DC! Always super popular, and we've got lit fields waiting for you! No experience is necessary: just arrive with a smile, a great attitude and ready to run!

Games are played on Wednesdays at the LIT FIELD at Kennedy Recreation Center near the Convention Center between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and run about 45 minutes. This league fills up FAST, so grab your friends and register now!


  • Games start on Wednesday, October 11th. 
  • Regular season game dates are October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8.
  • Playoff dates are scheduled for November 15th (Wednesday) and 19th (Sunday).
  • A rainout week is scheduled for December 3rd (Sunday).


  • This is a coed social flag football league with an emphasis on social. This is a NON-CONTACT league. This is NOT a super competitive league. We're all here to have fun and make friends! 
  • Players can join as Free Agents, small groups or teams. If you don't have a team or group, you can still play. Just join as a Free Agent and we'll place you on a fun team.
  • Minimum on field is 3 men and 3 women, with a max of 7 players on the field.
  • Games are two 18-minute halves and a 3-minute half time.
  • Substitute players are not allowed.

  • We have a scheduled 5 weeks of games and 2 weeks for playoffs. The final playoffs will be played on Sunday, November 19th.
  • The number of teams in playoffs may vary.
  • Each player gets a player t-shirt.
  • We provide all officials and equipment. We also cover the costs of park/court/field permits (if applicable), parties, prizes and more.
  • Post-game happy hours are at our sponsor bar after games each week.

  • Food & drink specials will be available.


  • Teams must have a minimum of 14 players and a max of 20 players.***
  • All teams must be open to accepting Free Agents and/or small groups.
  • Teams with less than the minimum number of players may be merged with another team.
  • T-shirt delivery is aimed for the 1st or 2nd week of games. People that join late may receive their t-shirts later.


  • Captains are needed to organize and rally their teams, and distribute t-shirts to players.
  • We reach out to Captains from time to time to help us make decisions for teams.
  • Captains may request we hold off adding Free Agents to their teams. We will try to honor that request as best as we can for as long as we can, but we can't guarantee it. Your best bet is to ask your players to join as soon as possible.

  • All players must be 21 years old or older, have health insurance and agree to our terms and conditions.
  • Disrespectful and/or unsportsmanlike conduct will be dealt with swiftly and firmly.
  • If the National Park Service closes the center panels on the Mall, we will be playing near the trees on the sidelines.
